Ceiling Paneling Decor

from: Maxx Home Guides

You may never have considered using ceiling paneling in your home, but they're a great way to add beauty and charm to any space. The good news is there are many different ceiling decor options available to fit this category. You'll find tiling that gives off that ancient appeal of a tin ceiling plus a variety of products designed to provide you with a simple, white textured ceiling.

Why Use Paneling?

Homeowners often ask why they should go with paneling for their ceilings? If you're planning to paint the ceiling, this process is a little more labor intensive and will cost more. However, the finished design using ceiling panels looks great, and will impress anyone who sees it. Panels add charm and a unique look, something paint can't provide.

In addition, if you're planning to use ceiling tiles, paneling may be a better choice because of its simplicity. Rather than installing 100 small pieces of tiling, you can place just 20 pieces of paneling. Ceiling paneling provides a uniform look, as well, giving a professional edge other products simply don't offer.

Ceiling Panel Types

When shopping for ceiling paneling, you'll discover many options. You can choose simple, smooth panels, which provide a softer look and less architectural interest to the space. Another option is a patterned look, where there may be some slight raised areas. It appears to be textured, however.

An option that's perhaps best for spaces where you want interest and charm is textured ceiling tiles, which come in a variety of styles to fit any space.

There are many stylistic options such as a metal look for ceiling decor. This gives off that 19th century prestige. More modern options offer less detailing and more simplicity. On the other hand, you may prefer the look of copper or tin ceilings. These ceiling panels can give you that same look for far less cost.

If you're ready to add some ceiling decor to your home, there's perhaps no better option than ceiling paneling. It's easy to install and adds lots of value to your space.
