When is the best time to install a new roof? This FAQ can be understood in two ways. One, it could refer to the best time of the year to actually install a new roof, or, it could be interpreted as knowing when a roof has failed and requires replacment. Regarding the first reference, the best time to do an installation is on days when rain and wind frequency isn't at a peak. Rainy seasons are definitely not a good time to do any roofing work.

In tropical areas, summer is a good time to install your roof. If the construction falls on rainy days or days with strong wind pressure, then choose a roofing material that can withstand the weather conditions.

When do you know if the roof needs to be changed? If your roof leaks, determin if it's a minor leak or a situation that will require a complete replacement. Monitor the leaking problem, and if it's an ongoing situation, then it’s probably time to replace the entire roof. The lifespan of a roof is determined by a number of factors such as appropriateness of the roofing material used, proper installation, climatic and weather conditions, and level of maintenance. According to roofing experts, a roof should last an average of 20 years at a minimum.
